Team Camp Location: Check in & check out will take place in the main lobby of Turner Residence Hall. Address: 2310 13th Ave. Greeley, CO 80631.

Individual Camp Location: Check in/out will be held at the Lawrenson Hall. Address: Lawrenson Hall 2310 13th Ave.  Ave. Greeley, CO 80631

Girls Camp Location: Check in/out will be held at North Hall. Address:  North Hall, 2253 11th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631

Completed registration forms and medical forms are necessary before any camper is checked into housing and allowed to participate in camp.
 

Medical

Certified Athletic Trainers will be on staff at each session of camp.  In addition to certified athletic trainers, athletic training students will also be on hand to assist the athletic training staff.

All medical staff are CPR certified.

Skin Care

Skin care is very important at all of our camps.  Skin checks are done throughout camp to ensure signs of infection are diagnosed early.  Athletic Training staff members are trained to identify infections most frequently associated with wrestling.  If a camper is diagnosed with a skin infection, he or she will be transported to a doctor for further medical treatment.

Wrestling mats are sanitized before every session of camp to help prevent the spread of bacteria.  Wrestlers are encouraged to purchase a skin cleanser and antiseptic before coming to camp. 

Staff

Troy Nickerson Wrestling Camps maintains a 10:1 camper to staff ratio at all times.  All staff members are required to pass a background check before employment.

Safety of Campers

Campers are required to check in to every session.  Staff members will immediately work to locate a camper that misses a check-in.  Campers are not permitted to leave campus at any time without approval from the camp director.

Bed Checks will take place at 10:00pm every night.  At this time, campers are expected to be in their rooms with lights out at 11:00pm.  Bed checks will be completed by camp counselors.

Failure to meet bed checks will result in dismissal from camp. Staff members stay on each floor of the dormitories with the campers.  Hall monitoring and nightly bed checks are done at 10:00pm each night.

Camp Counselors will be staying in the dorms to meet the camper’s needs throughout the entire camp, as well as performing bed checks and hall monitoring.
 

Campers should bring the following items with them to camp:

  • Wrestling Equipment
    • Running shoes
    • Wrestling shoes
    • Kneepads (optional)
    • Headgear (optional but recommended)
  • Toiletries (including an antibacterial soap or body wash)
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Alarm clock
  • Spending money for Camp Store
  • Bedding and linens (beds are twin XL size)

It is recommended that campers label their items with their last names.
Please leave all valuables at home.  Troy Nickerson Wrestling Camps, LLC is not responsible for any lost
items.

Laundry facilities are available at no cost inside the dorms.  Campers must provide their own detergent.

Commuter Team Campers should be dropped off by 8am and picked up by 8:30pm daily in the camp practice facilities.

No. Individuals who sign up for team camp will be paired with a team for the duration of the camp.

All campers participating in our team camp will weigh in at check in for camp.

Yes. All parents can visit camp at any time during camp.  If a parent is looking to stay with their camper overnight or attend any meals during camp, they will need to pay the camp fees.

Because camp needs to secure housing, counselors, meals and other factors in advance to make sure our camper experience is at its best, we do not issue camper refunds under any circumstances.  We will issue camper credits for future Troy Nickerson Wrestling Camps.  If you are unsure if your camper will be able to make it at the time of registration, we recommend you purchase camp insurance through Ryzer at the time of registration.

 

Yes. There is a $25 off early bird discount for any camper who registers (in full) for camp prior to April 1st.

Yes, we do offer a faculty discount.  Resident and Commuter prices will be found at a discounted rate.  For more information, please contact Coach Nickerson directly at troy.nickerson@unco.edu or by calling 970-351-2090.

If you are a coach and bring 10 or more campers to camp, you will receive free room and board for the duration of the camp.

Yes. On the camper registration form, you can request a specific roommate. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.

For any campers with food allergies, it is recommended that these medical issues are brought up prior to the start of camp, to ensure that we can meet the campers needs.

We will provide transportation to/from Denver International Airport on the first and last day of camp only.  The transportation fee is $75 and must be paid prior to the start of camp.  Camper flight itineraries must be provided at least 48 hours in advance.
